Remembering A Dedicated Member, Malcolm Moore. Our Thanks for all you shared with us!  May 3, 2023

Picture
The Covered Bridge Art Association would like to remember long time member, Malcolm Moore. He was a dedicated member who quietly helped us in many ways while sharing his art passion and his talents in photography. Through his photography he encouraged us to see the beauty in the nature that surrounds us and helped other members achieve their own photography goals. He will be fondly remembered and we extend our sympathies to his devoted wife, Gwen, and to their family.

Malcolm Moore, 76, of Montezuma serenely passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
He was born in Clinton on June 6, 1946, to Franklin Theodore Moore and Dorothy Virginia Pinnick Moore. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1964 where he had started a photography club.  He attended Wabash College and later graduated from Indiana State University in photo-journalism.
In the Texas Forestry Service his skills were used for aerial mapping and creating self-taught educational materials.  At the Terre Haute Tribune Star he rose from photojournalist to production manager.   His “photographer’s eye” and his advanced darkroom and computer skills allowed him to take excellent photos and enhance them with a unique artistic flair. He established and operated Moore Photography from 1985-1995 in Terre Haute, IN.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Montezuma, IN. He enjoyed his membership in the Covered Bridge Art Association where he exhibited regularly and his photography won multiple awards. Malcolm and his wife operated the Machledt Furniture Store in Montezuma for many years.  As a life long learner, Malcolm had a wide knowledge of many subjects.  He was gifted in his ability to explain and educate others in an intelligent, witty, and jovial manner.
We cherish the time we have had with Malcolm and remember his wife, Gwen, and his family.
Thank You, Malcolm! And May God Bless!
